The fabulous Lucy Phillips from 'Something Borrowed' joins us once again for an evening of flower wreath making with a festive theme
Tuesday 30th November 6-8pm
Includes a glass of Prosecco, tea and cake
Lucy herself grows, harvests and dries all the botanicals used in her work and during the session will teach the general basics of wreath making, with gardening, sowing, harvesting and preserving advice thrown in so that you work on your own dried botanical projects following the workshop. You will come away with a beautiful hand made wreath and the skills and inspiration to continue creating in your own time...
'There is sustainability at the heart of everything I do, with a soul that seeks to embrace what is seasonally inspiring around me. I called the company Something Borrowed as I wanted to reflect the life cycle of nature that it depends on, namely 'borrowing' and drying all sorts of inspiring bits from nature, crafting them using only biodegradable materials, bringing them inside for a while and then returning them to the compost to sustain the borders that will grow them all again next year. I love the unusual and hard to find so I grow annuals, perennials, grasses, dahlias and ranunculus specifically for preserving, as well as developing a 3 acre wildflower field where British native flowers can be sustainably sourced'
